Expressions Academy began in 2011 with studios at Haven House, Hemel Hempstead where we ran community classes, workshops, and summer schools for all ages. We gradually transitioned to running our classes from more community – based locations such as schools, community centres and churches where we were able to connect with many more individuals. In 2014 we started dance, drama and art after school clubs in local primary schools which continue to run today.
In 2019 we became a registered Community Interest Company to further reflect our company aims and since then we have been running more low cost and free events in partnership with different funding bodies. Some of these include our Art Socials and Rock-A-Bye Babies classes (supported by DBC and TNL community fund) and HAPPY holiday clubs supported by Herts Sports Partnership and Hertfordshire Community Foundation.

We also run touring Bible Journaling workshops around churches in Hemel Hempstead and continue to support where we can at events such as the Walk of Witness, where we have performed during the service and set up creative prayer spaces.
